Attorney Eve Parks

Ms. Parks joins the Bishop Law Office after five years on the Bench as a Superior Court Commissioner assigned to Family Court. As a Court Commissioner, she heard matters such as Default Dissolution cases, Evidentiary hearings, Orders of Protections, both the initial issuance of the Order and the Request for Hearing on the Order of Protection, and Fee Deferral and Waiver Requests. She reviewed and signed Consent Decree Dissolutions, Motions for Default Dissolution Decrees Pursuant to Rule 55(b)(ii) Without a Hearing (now Rule 44(b)), Simplified Motions to Modify Child Support, Orders for Temporary Child Support, and Requests for Supplemental Fee Deferral and/or Waiver Requests. Prior to being appointed a Court Commissioner, she was a Family Court Officer where she presided over complex Differentiated Case Management hearings and reviewed and signed Consent Decree Dissolution matters for three years.

Ms. Parks originates from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She moved to the Valley while still in high school. She obtained her Bachelors of Science Decree at Arizona State University graduating Magna Cum Laude. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona College of Law. She practiced primarily family law for nearly nine years before joining the Superior Court.

Ms. Parks has developed an excellent reputation and is highly respected throughout the court system and legal community. She currently serves as the President of the Arizona Family Support Council. She has served on the Arizona Supreme Court Rules of Family Court Subcommittee in 2005, as well as, the Maricopa County Local Rules Committee from 1998 to 2001. She served on various Maricopa Superior Court committees during her tenure with the Court. In addition, she is currently an Instructor in the Legal Assistant Program at Phoenix College and has been one for the past several years. She also speaks at various Maricopa County Bar and State Bar Seminars on a variety of subjects including the Hague Convention involving enforcing International Custody Rights.

Prior to going to law school, Ms. Parks worked as a Judicial Assistant for a Superior Court Commissioner. This unique training into the inner workings of the court gives her insight few attorneys possess. Combined with her years actually on the Bench as a Superior Court Commissioner, excellent legal knowledge and courtroom skills make Ms. Parks a special family law attorney. She is able to offer her clients a staunch commitment to professionalism, together with compassion and understanding of the complex issues involved in dissolution and custody cases.
